Steelhaus Fabrications Ltd is looking for a reliable and hardworking General Operative to join our busy fabrication workshop. This is a hands‑on role supporting all areas of production, ensuring smooth operations and helping the team meet deadlines.

• Assist with general duties across the shop floor
• Support laser, press brake, welding and fabrication teams as required
• Load and unload materials (manual handling involved)
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and safe
• Operate basic workshop equipment (training provided)
• Move parts between stations and prepare items for the next process
• Follow instructions and work to production plans
• Perform basic quality checks on work pieces

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment (preferred but not essential)
• Good practical skills and willingness to learn
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast‑paced workshop
• Comfortable with manual handling

• Forklift licence
• Experience in steel fabrication
• Familiarity with power tools or machinery
• Previous warehouse/operative experience
