Salary: £16.00 - £18.00 per hour

Hours:

Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 16:00 | Friday 07:00 - 12:30

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Wire EDM Programmer to join a highly skilled engineering team.

  • Program, set and operate Wire EDM machinery
  • Manufacture precision press tooling, fixtures and engineered components
  • Interpret CAD data and detailed engineering drawings
  • Produce components to tight tolerances and exact specifications
  • Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy throughout production

    Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance activities
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the machining department
  • Conduct self‑inspection using a range of measuring equipment
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet delivery schedules
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment
About You
  • Experience programming, setting and operating Wire EDM machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
  • Experience working from CAD data and technical specifications
  • Strong understanding of precision engineering and tight tolerance manufacturing
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
Desirable Experience
  • Experience using Agie & Charmilles Wire EDM machines
  • Knowledge of P.E.P.S., Opticam or Visi software
  • Experience with in toolmaking, press tooling or low‑volume precision manufacturing
