Screen Printer

Location: Sandwell

Job Purpose

To produce high-quality printed products using manual and semi-automatic screen printing equipment, ensuring all work meets customer specifications, company quality standards and production deadlines.

The successful candidate will work across a range of printed products including industrial nameplates, labels, decals, signs and bespoke printed components for customers within sectors including aerospace, automotive and manufacturing. Rudd Macnamara prints onto a wide range of metal and plastic substrates using semi-automatic screen printing equipment and maintains AS9100 and ISO
9001 quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Screen Printing

* Set up manual and semi-automatic screen printing machines.

* Prepare screens, inks and substrates ready for production.

* Mix inks to customer specifications and colour requirements.

* Print onto a variety of materials including:

* Other plastic substrates

* Ensure correct registration and colour accuracy.

* Carry out print runs efficiently whilst maintaining quality standards.

* Complete first-off inspections before commencing production.

Quality

* Inspect printed products throughout production.

* Ensure all work meets customer drawings and specifications.

* Identify print defects including:

* Mis-registration

* Colour variation

* Ink contamination

* Smudging

* Pinholes

* Poor adhesion

* Complete quality documentation where required.

* Report quality concerns immediately.

* Support AS9100 and ISO
9001 quality systems.

Skills & Experience

Essential

* Previous experience within screen printing or print production.

* Good attention to detail.

* Excellent colour recognition.

* Ability to read production paperwork and work instructions.

* Good manual dexterity.

* Ability to work accurately under pressure.

* Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

* Good communication skills.

* Reliable and punctual.

* MUST have a minimum of 6 months screen printing experience
