What will you be doing?

As a Quality Manager for BES Testing you will lead and maintain our UKAS-accredited ISO 17025 quality management system, ensuring the highest standards of compliance, technical excellence and customer confidence. Reporting to the General Manager in our laboratory in Wednesbury, you will play a key role in safeguarding our reputation as a trusted provider of accredited materials testing services.

You will:

  • Lead, maintain and continually improve the ISO 17025 quality management system
  • Ensure full compliance with UKAS accreditation, regulatory requirements and customer standards
  • Develop, implement and review quality procedures, standards and laboratory documentation
  • Prepare for, manage and lead UKAS assessments and external audits
  • Oversee internal audits, non-conformances, root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Train, coach and support laboratory teams on quality, compliance and best practice
  • Analyse and report on quality performance data to support continuous improvement
  • Act as a key liaison with customers, regulators, suppliers and internal BES Group stakeholders

As Quality Manager, you will get:

  • A minimum standard starting salary of £40,000 depending on experience

To join our team, you will need:

  • Proven experience leading and managing an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory quality system
  • Strong working knowledge of UKAS accreditation requirements and assessment processes
  • A solid background in quality management within a laboratory, technical or engineering environment
  • Experience conducting internal audits, non-conformance investigations and corrective actions
  • A relevant scientific or engineering qualification (degree or equivalent preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, coach and engage others
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
  • Confidence using quality documentation systems and LIMS
