Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for our West Bromwich based client who are seeking a dynamic Quality Manager to join their successful team. Hours of work are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and a 2.30pm finish Fridays.

Duties and tasks will include:
  • Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the business.
  • Develop, implement, communicate and manage the Quality Management System throughout the business.
  • Effectively interact with production teams to maintain and improve product quality and supply and lead the introduction of new products.
  • Working with purchasing to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
  • Ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
  • Bringing together different disciplines of the business and drive the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures and methods of operation.
  • Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures.
  • Liaising with customers and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications.
  • Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
  • Organise, manage and develop quality department personnel in close co-operation with the Company's Management team in order to support budget and business expectations.
  • Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated
  • Writing management systems reports.
  • Manage and maintain the Company's quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components.
  • Any other reasonable duties requested to be undertaken by the Board.
  • Metallurgical knowledge would be beneficial

  • To ensure that company products are fit for purpose and meet both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations.
  • To coordinate the activities required to meet quality standards.
  • To monitor and advise on Company performance and produce data and reports, measuring against set indicators.
  • Maintenance of the Quality Management System to meet the requirements of ISO 9001
  • Work towards the accredited implementation of ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems) & ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems)
  • Manage of the current Health & Safety system. (Atlas)
