An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join a well-established, family-owned manufacturer specialising in brass and aluminium castings. Operating across four specialist divisions, the business offers a complete manufacturing solution, including foundry operations, CNC machining, laser cutting, polishing and plating, supplying high-quality cast components to customers across a variety of industries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while managing and growing existing customer relationships throughout the UK and Europe. This is a consultative technical sales role, requiring previous experience within the castings industry and the ability to understand customer requirements before delivering tailored manufacturing solutions.

Key Responsibilities- Develop new business opportunities across the UK and European markets.
- Manage and grow relationships with existing customers and key accounts.
- Identify customer requirements and provide technical solutions for cast components and manufacturing services.
- Prepare quotations and commercial proposals.
- Conduct customer meetings, site visits and technical presentations.
- Liaise closely with design, estimating and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements.
- Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities.
- Represent the business at customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events where required.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and customer records.
- Previous technical sales experience within the castings industry.
- Strong understanding of brass and/or aluminium castings and associated manufacturing processes.
- Proven track record of winning new business and developing customer relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach to business development.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and Europe.
- Experience selling foundry, machining or precision engineering services.
- Existing customer network within manufacturing, engineering or OEM markets.
- Engineering or technical qualification.
- Experience working with CRM systems.
