A Single Assessment Social Worker position is available with HCL Workforce Solutions in Oldbury. This temporary role, paying up to £33.30 per hour, sits within Sandwell Children’s Trust and offers a non-case holding structure. You will undertake Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries, conducting detailed assessments and risk evaluations for children and families. After completing your evaluation, you will pass the case to a holding team.

As a Social Worker, you will provide essential support to individuals and families facing a wide range of challenges. You''ll assess needs, develop care plans, and work alongside multidisciplinary teams to safeguard vulnerable people and improve their quality of life. This is a highly rewarding role where you will directly impact the wellbeing and safety of those you support Section 17 / Section 47''s, once complete pass on the case
Key responsibilities- Conduct detailed assessments and risk evaluations for service users.
- Develop, implement, and review tailored support plans.
- Ensure the protection of vulnerable children and adults.
- Support clients to access healthcare, housing, benefits, and community resources.
- Partner with healthcare professionals, local authorities, and voluntary organisations.
- Maintain accurate and timely case notes in compliance with professional standards.
You will need to have a recognised professional Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England;
Have completed your ASYE programme;
Have a good level of experience of working in a children and families setting;
Have a good knowledge of minimum standards and be able to achieve our expectation for promoting change in family life;
Be able to demonstrate the ability to analyse information and make informed decisions;
Good knowledge of child development.
