7.5T Delivery Driver

Steer Staffing is currently recruiting for 7.5 tonne Delivery Drivers to join a distribution and delivery company based in Wednesbury.

You will be delivering customers' orders to their homes and office sites, working with a Driver’s Mate to support you on all deliveries. Route plans are put together each day and your vehicle is pre‑loaded each morning.

The shifts run on a 5 days on, 3 days off rota with two 30‑minute breaks, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

A DBS check will be required for this role.

• Driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle on a daily basis
• Working with a driver’s mate
• Delivering customers’ orders to their homes and offices
• Lifting heavy items and completing a multi‑drop driving role
• Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time
• Following a delivery route, which is pre‑planned for you
• Pre‑calling customers before arrival
• Filling in paperwork as and when required
• Removing all packaging from each delivery

• Experience with in a similar role
• 7.5 tonne licence or above
• CPC and TACO certificates
• The ability to handle heavy goods
• A clean DBS

The hours of work are 5 days on, 3 days off. Working days cover any 5 out of Monday‑Sunday, and you must be available to work between 7.00 am and 6.15 pm.

The salary is £14.28 per hour on a 12‑week temp‑to‑perm basis. Any hours over 45 will be paid at time and a half.
