Senior Transport Planner

Starting salary of £35,000

• 40 hours per week
• Week 1: 0600 - 1430
• Week 2: 0930 - 1800
• 1 Weekend in 4 - On-call

You will effectively manage the day-to-day operation of the depot through the allocation and basic routing of vehicles to ensure best-in-class service delivery to customers, ensuring health & safety standards are maintained, and ensuring environmental and licence compliance. Supporting employee engagement, continuous improvement in productivity and quality of service provision.

• Champion our “Safety First” culture
• Responsible for efficient day-to-day planning of the northern tanker fleet
• Ensure the business remains fully compliant with all DVLA/EU Drivers Hours Regs / working time directive legislation
• Ensure that all BIFFA compliance KPI are achieved on a period-by-period basis.
• Conduct performance management / disciplinary processes as required
• Action customer enquiries in a timely manner ensuring customer satisfaction
• Monitor vehicle availability, maintenance schedules, and any breakdowns to ensure uninterrupted service
• Seek continuous improvement to maintain operational excellence

• Transport industry knowledge
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers hours and working time directive
• Competent in managing a diverse fleet
