Multi-Drop Van Driver - West Bromwich, West Midlands

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Multi-Drop Van Driver to join our well-established client based in Oldbury, West Midlands.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, weekly work and genuine opportunities for progression.

This role would suit applicants who have worked as a Delivery Driver, Courier Driver or Van Driver.

Rates of Pay:
  • £12.71 per hour
Shift Pattern:
  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:00 starts

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a Multi-Drop Van Driver are:

  • Carrying out waste recycling and waste disposal collections from local offices and commercial sites
  • Delivering and collecting recycling supplies, including bags, bins and consumables
  • Completing scheduled routes efficiently and safely
  • Ensuring waste and recycling materials are handled responsibly
  • Operating company vehicles safely and professionally
  • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
  • Ensuring all loads are secured correctly
  • Adhering to all traffic and environmental regulations
  • Providing excellent customer service to site staff and customers
  • Reporting route issues or vehicle defects promptly
Essential

Skills:

To be successful as a Multi-Drop Van Driver, you will need:

  • Valid UK Category B Driving Licence
  • Minimum of twelve months' experience driving Category B vehicles
  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences
  • Good knowledge of the UK road network
  • Good level of spoken and written English
  • Excellent timekeeping and punctuality
  • Good understanding of UK traffic laws
  • Effective communication skills
Training:
  • Full training provided prior to starting
  • Fully paid induction covering vehicles, safety and route processes
