This role offers a base pay range of $47,548.80/yr - $47,548.80/yr
. Minimum Hiring Wage: from $47,548.80 a year. The position is full‑time with night hours.
Supervises work activities of Environmental Services staff to prevent the spread of infections, inspects work to ensure compliance with specifications and standards, and plans employee schedules. Provides direct supervision, training, and performance management while coordinating with other departments for efficient service delivery. Oversees equipment maintenance, facility inspections, and selection of cleaning materials. Maintains software and records, and may handle destruction of discarded patient health information.
Responsibilities- Perform direct supervision of staff.
- Participate in training and orientation of new staff; provide ongoing education.
- Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards.
- Plan and prepare employee work schedules.
- Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner.
- Implement and maintain production and quality standards for the staff.
- Respond to complaints in a timely manner.
- Evaluate employee performance and recommend personnel actions.
- Instruct staff in work policies, procedures, and equipment use and maintenance.
- Inventory stock to ensure supplies and equipment are available.
- Maintain required records of work hours, budgets, payrolls, and other information.
- Recommend changes that improve service and increase operational efficiency.
- Screen job applicants and hire new employees.
- Select and order or purchase new equipment, supplies, or furnishings.
- Plan and assist in office and furniture moves.
- Monitor pest control operations and outcomes.
- Assist in the recycling program by shredding paper and appropriate materials.
- Associate's Degree (AA) or vocational training (preferred).
- 1–3 years of previous supervisory experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources, leadership, production methods, and coordination.
- Understanding of customer service principles and privacy policies.
- Strong communication and teaching skills.
- Ability to monitor and assess performance and take corrective action.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
