Description:
The Emergency Room RN is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. Able to triage safely, rapidly, and accurately every patient that enters the emergency care system. Coordinates care between other professional disciplines as needed. The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance.
A Basic Dysrhythmia test will be administered during orientation. Completion of this test is mandatory to work in the Emergency Department. The position will require working between the hours of 1300 - 0130 and 1500 - 0330. While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census.
If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Every other weekend rotation and every other holiday are required.
