Med/Surg Tele RN – Job Requirements

Job :  | West Burlington, IA

• Experience:
  
  Recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience in a comparable unit within the last 12 months.
• Charting:
  Epic EMR experience required within the last 12 months in a similar unit.
• Certifications:
  
  Active ACLS required.
• Telemetry
  
  Competency:
  
  Must independently study telemetry strips before starting and pass a Basic Dysrhythmia Exam during the first week of assignment.
• Floating:
  Must be willing to float to other non-critical care inpatient units, including Behavioral Health and ED Hold patients.
• Multiple Campuses:
  Must be willing to float between West Burlington, Fort Madison, and Henry County campuses.
• Critical Care Floating:
  Nurses with critical care experience may be required to float to CCU/ICU.

Candidate Screening

Recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience within the last 12 months

Epic EMR experience in a comparable unit within the last 12 months

Active ACLS certification

Able to pass Basic Dysrhythmia Exam during orientation

Willing to float to Med/Surg, Behavioral Health, and ED Hold

Willing to float between hospital campuses

Available for nights, every other weekend, and holidays

Able to respond within 1 hour if placed on call
