Overview

Target is seeking candidates for the General Merchandise and Food Sales team who will support inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes. The role includes inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance, pricing, and supporting fulfillment activities (pick, pack, and ship) to deliver a great guest experience.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
• Engage with guests who need assistance to solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
• Receive products, restock shelves, organize the backroom, arrange merchandise, and post promotional signs for GM areas.
• Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures when certified.
• Execute pricing updates, merchandise setup and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve experience.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (e.g., picking, packing, or delivering pickup orders) while complying with applicable laws.
• Perform other duties as needed based on business needs.

• Strong problem-solving and quick guest issue resolution.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks within time frames.

Physical and Schedule Considerations

• Move and handle merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds as needed.
• Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays, with reliable attendance.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and elements while performing duties.
• Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a shift.
