Systems Automation and Robotics Engineer

The Systems Automation & Robotics Engineer will design and implement automated service solutions and processes that competitively meet customer requirements. This position focuses on automation, equipment, and packaging technology, leading the transition from manual systems to efficient, automated solutions.

• Manages capital equipment sourcing and budgeting, ensures financial targets are met.
• Responsible for capital project lifecycle, developing ROIs, budgets, and execution plans.

All other duties as assigned, including but not limited to identifying and training an individual capable of successfully completing all stated Essential Duties and Responsibilities as appropriate to maintain integrity of position for progression planning and coverage during times of absence.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

• Travel up to 25%, with occasional multi-week assignments depending on project load.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and balancing.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Fast-paced environment requiring adaptability to changing schedules, volumes, and priorities.

Please note:

• This is a full-time, on-site role based at our West Chester, Ohio location.
• This is not a remote or hybrid position — the engineer will be onsite five days a week collaborating closely with our operations, engineering, and automation teams.

Systems Usage

• CAD

• Project Management Software (preferably Click Up)
• UKG
• Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel)
• Equipment software applications

Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline required
Minimum 10 years of experience in packaging system design, and installation
Minimum 7 years leading capital projects and managing project life cycles
Experience in manufacturing control electronics, pneumatic systems, data management and transfer
Broad knowledge of packaging equipment and systems
Robotic and automation sourcing and installation experience
Development of packaging equipment and processes from product specifications
Strong project management and financial acumen (ROI, budgeting, P&L)
Experience with Lean manufacturing or Continuous Improvement preferred
