Mechanical Engineer

OTC Industrial Technologies is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in West Chester, OH
.

• Design air compressor facilities and work with manufacturing to support their production.
• Conduct reviews of your design with safety, manufacturing, service, project management, and other teams.
• Detail components from your design and provide to manufacturing for builds.
• Design to continually improve safety, quality, serviceability, and cost of the product.
• Create Bills of Material and work with Operations to order these items.
• Create standardized procedural documents to assist in streamlining drawings.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to create manufacturing work instructions.
• Interface with suppliers to specify and improve equipment.
• Interface with the manufacturing department to efficiently design, specify, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Interface with the sales department and installation team to correctly specify and design to meet customer needs.
• Interface with the service department to correctly specify and design to improve the serviceability of the products.
• Assist the manufacturing and installation process as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent required.
• Experience creating engineering drawings and models using AutoCAD and/or Solid Works.
• Ability to perform light physical labor as requiredn
• Ability to travel to customer sites and training purposes may be required. 10%‑15% annually.
• Attention to detail.

• Compressor, filtration, and piping knowledge a plus.
• Understanding of IBC a plus.
• Sheet metal design a plus.
• Understanding of NEC and electrical routing a plus.
