Our client is seeking a qualified Desktop Support Technician to join their team onsite in West Chester, OH, providing end‑user support.
Duties and Responsibilities- Repair, test, image, and clean PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and other related hardware.
- Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot software and computer peripherals, including setting up, configuring, and adding hardware.
- Perform installation, migration, and change management tasks, including large IMAC events for printer migration and PC refreshes.
- Ensure tickets requiring follow‑up work or calls receive appropriate attention.
- Assist with server equipment installations, configurations, upgrades, patches, and other maintenance activities.
- Perform backup, recovery, and security procedures, both planned and during emergencies.
- Follow established procedures to detect, diagnose, and report outages of critical site applications.
- Assist with diagnostics of network hardware and performance problems.
- Perform approved installations, configurations, and maintenance of physical network infrastructure.
- Perform network system administration tasks during planned and emergency situations.
- Interact face‑to‑face with end users onsite to provide technical support.
- Backup and burn end‑user data.
- Develop and document improvements to current processes.
- Assist coworkers in resolving end‑user technical issues across the program.
- Support the Site Leader in executing established processes and escalations.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience supporting PC hardware and software, with limited support for servers and network equipment.
- Experience with asset management.
- Confident, positive attitude toward delivering great customer experience.
- High energy in a fast‑paced environment.
- Deep understanding of diagnosing, troubleshooting, and replacing PC/laptop hardware components and software issues.
- Experience or strong understanding of enterprise technologies:
Office 365, Windows 10 Professional, imaging, and ticketing systems. - Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, and logistics applications is a plus.
- Strong understanding and work experience of server and network support within an enterprise (hands‑and‑feet support).
- Ability to work with strong personalities and de‑escalate tense users.
- Independently get work done and available during scheduled hours.
- Proactive work approach, especially with limited site IT leaders.
- Ability to handle multiple projects.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, crawl, climb, and stand/walk for much of the day while visiting customers.
- Service Now experience is a plus;
Windows 10 and Mac OS experience is a plus.
The rate for this position is between $18.00 - $26.40 per hour. Starting pay may vary based on geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
