Digital Press Operator
Location:
West Chester, OH
Salary: $26.50 – $31.00 per hour (depending on experience). 2nd and 3rd shift differential raises pay to $28.50 – $33.00 per hour.
Shift: 2nd Shift (2pm‑10pm) and 3rd Shift (10pm‑6am). Must be available for overtime, weekends, and holidays. Training on 1st shift (6am‑2pm) before moving to 2nd/3rd shift.
What You Will Do- Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing PPE.
- Operate equipment to defined standards and production specification targets.
- Ensure each job printed on the inkjet web press is properly set up to produce the product to established specifications.
- Monitor the process to maintain quality and inspect the final product for quality differences in color, shade, and brightness.
- Document as needed in computer systems, ensuring proper operation and quality.
- Troubleshoot issues and perform adjustments efficiently, minimizing downtime.
- Operate safely around mobile equipment.
- Collaboration:
work as a team to meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals. - Perform regular preventative maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
- Communicate effectively on shift with other operators and via email as needed.
- Tasks may involve lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing/pulling for up to 12 hours a day in an industrial environment.
- Experience working in printing or similar industry.
- Experience working with computer systems in an industrial/technical environment.
- Experience troubleshooting machinery and quality issues.
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience operating Digital and/or Flexo Printing Presses.
- Experience in corrugated packaging, folding carton, printing, or POP display industries.
- Experience with reliability and Preventative Maintenance (PM) systems.
- Experience with print production processes and color theory.
