Join Us as a Fire Protection Pipe Fabrication Machine OperatorPDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading fire suppression manufacturer to hire a hands-on operator who builds components that protect people and property every day.

A Day in the Life It’s 5:30 a.m. in West Chester, OH, and the shop is coming to life. You power up the band saw, check your measurements twice, and start cutting pipe to spec. By mid-morning, you’re threading and grooving with precision, staging materials for the next order, and helping a teammate set up a machine. After lunch, you assemble and bundle a shipment destined for a life-safety installation, complete quality checks, and safely move materials by forklift.

Before the day wraps at 3:00 p.m., you perform light maintenance and prep the shop for tomorrow’s builds.

Role Snapshot Assignment: 6-month contract with potential conversion to full-time

Location:

West Chester, OH 45069 (100% onsite)

Schedule:

1st shift, Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–3:00 PM; overtime available (including some Saturdays)
Pay:
Starting at $20.00/hr; typical week 45+ hours with additional OT opportunities

What You’ll Work OnOperate saws, grooving and threading machines, and related fabrication equipment

Measure, cut, thread, bevel, and prep pipe to specification

Read and use a tape measure and basic measurement tools accurately

Stage, organize, and move pipe and materials throughout the shop and yard Assemble pipe orders for shipment (individual and bundled)
General labor, assembly, bundling, and material handling

Assist with machine set-ups and basic equipment upkeep

Support quality checks for accuracy and consistency

Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely

What You Bring High School Diploma or GEDAt least 6 months of recent industrial or manufacturing experience

Hands-on background with saws, fabrication, or similar industrial machinery

Confident measuring with a tape measure; solid basic math Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds

Comfort working with pipe, sheet metal, and fabrication materials

Preferred

Pipe fitting, fabrication, metalworking, or manufacturing experience

Exposure to welding equipment or welding school coursework

Experience with grooving/threading machines, band saws, or universal welders

Forklift operation

Assembly, material handling, or production background

Compensation & Benefits Pay Details: $20.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
