Overview
Join Pest Co as a Pest Control Technician and help keep homes and businesses safe from pests. This full‑time role is based in Orland Park and West Chicago, IL, and offers a base hourly wage plus commissions. The position requires a short Pest Co Assessment before the application is considered.
Base Pay$36,000.00/yr – $60,000.00/yr
Location & ScheduleOffice Location: Orland Park / West Chicago, IL
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Occasional Saturdays)
Compensation: Base Hourly + Commissions
Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of a pest control route and apply pesticides to structures according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions.
- Follow a daily schedule and arrive on time at each customer’s home. A company vehicle is provided.
- Discuss the scope of service with the customer and assist in sales.
- Utilize in‑house training to determine the most efficient pest solution for each customer’s needs.
- Use all safety equipment as instructed and maintain professional appearance and equipment in working order.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for customers by implementing the most efficient solution for each customer’s individual needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong customer service presentation skills.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs and kneel, bend, and kneel as necessary for a job.
- Strong attention to detail, accurate record‑keeping, and self‑motivated, results‑driven.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
- Pest Control experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos, write simple correspondence, and effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees.
