Three Rivers Medication – Midlands Campus, Columbia, SC – Three Rivers Residential Treatment Center is a 64‑bed facility for children and adolescents aged 6‑21, offering multidisciplinary behavioral health and substance‑use treatment. The Medical Director will provide direct patient care and oversee clinical & administrative functions.
Position OverviewThe Medical Director will be responsible for clinical leadership, program development, quality improvement, and risk management. The role requires on‑site presence of 20‑25 hours per week, with a hybrid schedule possible for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities- Direct patient care, including initial evaluations, assessments, and ongoing treatment of assigned patients.
- Supervision and mentorship of clinical staff.
- Development and implementation of program initiatives, quality improvement projects, and risk‑management strategies.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary team to ensure high‑quality patient outcomes.
- Board‑certified Child Psychiatrist or General Psychiatrist, fellowship trained in child/adolescent psychiatry preferred.
- Clinical experience working with children and adolescents (ages 6‑21) in a residential or intensive treatment setting.
- Leadership experience in a clinical or administrative capacity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to evidence‑based, patient‑centered care.
