We’re currently hiring licensed Physical Therapists for outpatient positions at multiple locations throughout the Midlands. Opportunities available in:
Ballentine, Forest Acres, Irmo, Lexington, Northeast Columbia, Otarre Pointe, West Columbia, Blythewood.

Perform professional outpatient physical therapy services focused on restoration of function and prevention of disability after trauma or disease. This includes tests, measurements, exercises and modalities as appropriate.
Minimum QualificationsMinimum Education: Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in Physical Therapy; graduate of a PT program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or equivalent per SC board.

Required Certifications/Licensure: Licensed in the State of South Carolina by the SC State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners; CPR Certification.

- Provides direct physical therapy to patients upon referral by a physician or advanced practice provider.
- Demonstrates age-specific competence to provide developmentally appropriate care for infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
- Evaluates patients using physical therapy tests and measurements (e.g., muscle testing, functional ability, range of motion, neurological testing).
- Develops physical therapy treatment plans and administers treatments to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain maximum performance using therapies such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and modalities.
- Documents treatment data (progress notes, evaluation reports, discharge summaries).
- Instructs patients and families in home programs.
- Supervises and monitors patient plans of care when carried out by a physical therapy assistant.
- Represents the department and communicates effectively with the interdisciplinary team; consults with other professionals regarding the plan of care; takes orders from physicians and hospital care teams; schedules patients; represents department in meetings and provides in-service classes as needed.
- Assists in the clinical supervision of physical therapist assistants and students.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisors or authorized personnel in emergencies.
- Uses effective time management to complete patient care assignments and meet departmental productivity standards.
- Demonstrates professional judgment and adheres to the state physical therapy practice act and hospital policies.
- Assesses treatment process and adheres to standards of practice and departmental procedures.
- Participates in professional activities for ongoing self-development and clinical skill growth.
- Meets deadlines with minimal supervision and uses safe patient handling techniques.
- Maintains a professional image and delivers excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers; demonstrates teamwork and courtesy.
