Three Rivers Midlands is seeking a dynamic & talented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Three Rivers Midlands is a comprehensive behavioral health facility treating children and adolescents through residential and Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services (RBH). We treat males and females ages 11-18 for a wide spectrum of psychiatric issues, addictive behaviors, and chemical dependency related illnesses.

The LPN

Key Responsibilities include:

* Delivering quality general and psychiatric nursing care to adolescent residents admitted for treatment of psychiatric or emotional disorders

* Serving actively and constructively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team

* Supporting the organization and program or unit philosophy of care

* Ensuring the safety and well-being of each resident.

PRN Nurses must work a minimum of five (5) twelve (12) hour shifts per month, with two of these shifts being weekend shifts. Weekend shifts begin Saturday at 7am and end at 7:30 am Monday. PRN Nurses are required to work three (3) holiday shifts per year.

This is a PRN position, 7pm - 7:30am &/or 7am - 7:30pm.

Qualifications

Position Requirements :

* Graduate from an accredited nursing program with current license and registration by the South Carolina Board of Nurse Examiners as a Registered Nurse.

* Must possess knowledge of general and child/adolescent psychiatric nursing, therapeutic relationships, therapeutic processes, growth and development, limit-setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors

* BLS Certification required.

* Valid SC Driver's License preferred.

* Thorough familiarity of psych pharmacy & the use of psychotropic medications.

* One year prior child/adolescent psychiatric experience is strongly preferred.
