Electrical Apprentices assist Electricians in performing electrical tasks such as pulling cable, installing devices, repairing electrical equipment, and reading blueprints. This position requires enrollment in a 4‑year Department of Labor (DOL) Registered Apprenticeship Program. Some travel will be required. Pay depends on experience.

• Works under direct supervision of a Journeyman Electrician and demonstrates safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment.
• Assists with materials handling, installation of devices and equipment.
• Identify and eliminate hazardous conditions at the job site.
• Maintain the job site in a safe, neat, and orderly condition.
• Handle and stage materials, equipment, and tools.
• Assist with layout, wire pulls, and installation.
• Might be required to operate heavy equipment.
• Assist with cable tray installations, device installations, and lighting connections.
• Receive On‑the‑Job Learning (OJL) as part of the apprenticeship program.
• Attend class and make satisfactory progress with apprenticeship program completion.
• Safely operate hand and power tools.
• Possess the ability to read and interpret instructions, maps, and manuals.
• Positive safety attitude and personal integrity.
• Legally operate company vehicles and equipment.

• Job requires working in all elements (rain, snow, heat, etc.).
• Must keep work tools with them at all times (work belt, bag, etc.).
• Use all types of ladders including step ladders up to 14 ft, “A” Frame and all sizes of extension ladders and relocate a 12 ft ladder by one’s self.
• Perform work at various heights, up to 90 ft from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and cat walks; be able to work in restricted areas.
• Wear protective personal equipment (PPE).
