Job Summary
Imperial Trading Co., LLC is looking for a highly motivated CDL Class A Shuttle Driver with a doubles endorsement to join our team in West Columbia, SC. Our company has been in business for over 100 years and is expanding as one of the nation's largest food distributors.

- Valid Class A CDL WITH DOUBLES ENDORSEMENT and current DOT medical card
- At least 1 year (6 months considered) of CDL driving experience
- Must be able to pass road test
- Must have an acceptable driving record based on DOT and company insurance mandates
- Must be in compliance with DOT's Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse provisions
- Always be vigilant to detect unexpected road conditions, distracted drivers, and motorists who do not understand how commercial vehicles operate; operate in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of vehicle (truck, tractor, etc.) and equipment before departure and upon return; report any defects to management immediately.
- Ensure accurate and efficient product delivery procedures.
- Perform safety‑affecting activities on a motor vehicle used in transportation on public highways in interstate commerce.
- Maintain a valid and current CDL and Medical Card.
- Report to work on time as directed by Transportation Management and complete all duties in a timely manner.
- Wear proper uniforms and PPE while on company time or business.
- Use the company’s P.O.D. scanner to accurately deliver all product and/or equipment to customers.
- Accurately account for delivery paperwork and collect cash or approved payments in accordance with policy.
- Coaching on unsafe driving habits using the Drive‑Cam camera system; maintain and clean equipment.
- Take overnight routes when necessary per Transportation Management’s discretion.
- Provide courteous customer service and uphold the company’s reputation.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Transportation Management.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb ladders or ramps, talk or hear, use hands to touch, handle or feel, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, lift 20‑40 pounds regularly and occasionally lift 50‑75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
