• Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care.
• Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Managing cross coverage & low acuity admissions on overnight shift for one or more hospitals, depending on beds covered.
• Enter orders, call nurses, staff, patients or families as needed.
• Help with transfers to higher level of care if needed overnight, including transfers to ICU or other floors within same facility, calling in through Vidyo to evaluate patients if needed.
• Documentation per CMS & TH guidelines for H&Ps, cross coverage, significant events, handoff, etc.

• MD or DO.
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Requires 1 year of bedside clinical experience as a Hospitalist.
• Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in your state of residency, AND IA, IL and WI.
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice.
• Credentialed at all UPH hospitals staffed by a Tele Hospitalist.
• Unemployable states: NY, CA, OR, VT, WA, DC.
