Youth Curriculum Coordinator - Part Time | Walnut Creek YMCA (Biotech)

Position overview:

The Youth Curriculum Program Coordinator will provide support for youth programs in order to ensure the effective administration of youth programs for the YMCA of Greater Des Moines. This will focus on STEM Youth Programs, and is NOT part of youth sports.

  • Job Location: Walnut Creek YMCA
  • Shifts Available: Flexible weekday and weekend time available - 20 hours per week - Summer availability required
  • Pay Range: $12.00 - $14.00/hour
  • Closing Date for Applications: January 27, 2026 - Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Responsibilities
  • Create, plan and deliver youth program opportunities.
  • Develop and implement a promotion plan to advertise youth program opportunities.
  • Manage and coordinate youth program activities.
  • Assist in preparing the annual budget, and manage the financials and budget for the youth programs.
  • Prepare reports and rosters using computer information systems.
  • Develop and implement evaluation to learn results of the youth program.
  • Assist in the monitoring of inventory of department equipment and ensure effective, safe use.
  • Respond to questions and concerns of program participants and families.
  • Know emergency procedures and be able to demonstrate them.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or designated staff person.
  • Demonstrate and support the objectives of the Association as embodied in the mission statement and values.
