We’re looking for a high‑energy,
Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer to focus on our Data Center market from our Omaha, Nebraska office.
- Layout and design of HVAC systems for various types of clients, including electric vehicles, data centers, and heavy industrial facilities.
- Develop the design criteria for HVAC systems, including general comfort heating and cooling, accurate temperature or humidity control, unique pressurization requirements, and cleanliness requirements for clean room applications.
- Prepare conceptual and preliminary design documents with sizing calculations, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.
- Design ductwork systems based on P&IDs.
- Create final design documents including specifications, sequences of operation, piping layout, and construction documents for chilled water, cooling water, and other systems.
- Mentor less experienced staff.
- Apply curiosity, multitasking, and collaboration to achieve high organizational standards and deliver impactful results.
- At least fifteen (15) years’ experience in HVAC design.
- Deep knowledge of HVAC codes and standards.
- Adaptability to a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
- Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate with other discipline members remotely.
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.
- Experience designing plumbing/utility systems.
