What this job involves:
As a Lead Engineer at JLL, you will serve as a key technical leader responsible for the joint supervision of engineering department staff and oversight of critical facility operations. This role focuses on implementing preventive maintenance programs, managing building systems, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency. You will coordinate complex facility projects, lead safety initiatives, and provide technical expertise that directly supports JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional client service and maintaining world-class facilities for our Wells Fargo & Company client.
What your day-to-day will look like: Supervise engineering department staff and delegate preventative maintenance programs, installations, repairs, and facility equipment maintenance
Schedule and prioritize emergency repair activities based on urgency and available personnel capabilities
Perform comprehensive equipment inspections, monitor equipment condition, and ensure maintenance compliance with AES standards
Coordinate facility projects as requested by customers and manage site operations including permits (facility, work, hot work, roof permits)
Lead safety training initiatives, enforce safety regulations, and promote safe working habits throughout the facility
Provide technical advice and instruction to team members on mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, and safety procedures
Manage building life safety systems including control panels, smoke/duct detectors, sprinkler systems, and fire prevention equipment
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in facility engineering and maintenance operations with supervisory responsibilities
Extensive knowledge of building life safety systems including control panels, smoke/duct detectors, sprinkler systems, pull stations, strobe lights, horns, and fire doors
Proficiency with building CMMS systems such as MCIM, Corrigo, and similar platforms
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, HVAC, plumbing, and electronic equipment
Experience with safety training program implementation and compliance management
Knowledge of permit management processes and regulatory compliance requirements
Ability to coordinate with contractors and subcontractors while ensuring client requirement adherence
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in corporate office environments or financial services facilities
Background in quality assurance program implementation for engineering operations
Previous experience with equipment replacement planning and long-range facility management
Certification in building systems management or facility engineering
Leadership experience in establishing safety-sensitive cultures within technical teams
