Employment Type: Full-time

Schedule: 40 hours/week

• Maintain the surgery schedule, providing necessary information to patients and physicians.
• Coordinate, register and schedule appointments for patients according to availability.
• Conduct patient pre-certification for insurance approval of appointments and medical care.
• Ensure all pre‑operative required tests are scheduled and completed prior to surgery.
• Coordinate and ensure necessary equipment is ordered, room availability/scheduled, pre‑surgery medication, etc. is arranged prior to the scheduled procedure.
• Communicate detailed information and answer patients' questions regarding surgery preparation instructions and arrival/departure instructions relative to the procedure.
• Schedule any necessary follow‑up appointments, as directed by physicians.
• Receive and screen calls related to problems that may arise due to date changes or any reasons for cancellation.
• Escalate non‑routine issues to the practice manager or physician.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the practice manager or physician.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years related experience in a healthcare environment required.
