RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide Sonography services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm.

• Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
• Explains and prepares patients for sonography imaging procedures, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately imaged
• Performs routine and advanced Sonography imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury with minimal supervision or repeats, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout the procedure
• Adjusts sonography scan parameters correctly and as needed
• Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS)
• Maintains an orderly and clean work area, including sanitizing equipment, to promote good safety habits for patients and team members
• Maintains the American College of Radiology (ACR) toolkit and accreditation requirements

• Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
• Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
• Assists with the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

• Completes other tasks and projects as assigned

• High school diploma, or equivalent
• Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited sonography program, or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
• Registered American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) sonographer, current and in good standing
• Sonography certification in imaging specialty (AB,  , ObGyn, etc.)
• Licensed Sonographer in the appropriate state (if applicable)
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Must have sufficient training and experience to perform sonography procedures independently

• Certification in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• OSHA Class I exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens
• Bilingual
