The Iowa Clinic is looking for a Biller/Coder for our West Des Moines, IA location. This is an onsite position with our Central Billing Office. The Biller/Coder will utilize proficiency in ICD-9 and ICD-10 and CPT coding knowledge and perform duties related to auditing patient treatment codes and levels of service on physician consults in various specialties.

• Perform duties associated with auditing patient treatment codes and levels of service on physician consults.
• Utilize proficiency in ICD-9 and ICD-10 and CPT coding knowledge.
• Work with the Central Billing Office to refile using the most appropriate code and/or supporting materials to optimize reimbursements.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Coding Specialist preferred.
• Previous experience in a medical office and working knowledge of ICD-9 and/or ICD-10 and CPT coding and Medicare exclusions required.
• Exposure to different types of insurance programs preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
