Position SummaryLink Associates is seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused HR & Training professional to support the agency’s Human Resources and Training functions. The role supports staff, supervisors, and leadership with applicant interviewing, employee onboarding, training coordination, compliance, and HR operations. The position level (Assistant or Specialist) will be determined based on education, experience, and demonstrated competencies.
Essential Job Functions Human Resources Support- Maintain accurate employee files and HR records in accordance with agency and regulatory requirements.
- Support recruitment activities, including interview scheduling, interviewing and hiring documentation.
- Run background checks, abuse, criminal and other relevant screenings.
- Assist with internal transfers, status changes, and employee communications.
- Assist with employee onboarding, orientation, and personnel documentation.
- Respond to routine HR-related questions and direct staff to appropriate resources.
- Support facilitation of onboarding, recertifications, and compliance-based trainings.
- Maintain training records and generate reports for audits, licensing, and compliance purposes.
- Communicate training requirements and deadlines to employees, supervisors, administrators and directors.
- Lead onboarding and training sessions independently.
- Serve as point of contact for supervisors regarding HR and Training topics.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree desired and prior experience in HR and/or Training preferred.
- Must meet agency policy on transportation and background checks.
- Ability to work on a daily basis utilizing standard office equipment.
- Proven proficiency in implementing agency rules and procedures, verbal, presentation, and written communication skills, human relations skills, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Position includes medium physical work, including occasional 2-hand lifting 40–50 pounds and occasional 2-hand push/pull 50–60 pounds; frequent standing, walking, reaching, forward bending, stooping, and occasional stair climbing without railings; occasional sitting.
