PC Technician

Our client is seeking a PC / Desktop Technician to support office relocation activities by providing technical assistance with the disconnection, transport preparation, and reconnection of end‑user workstation equipment. This includes desktop computers, monitors, docking stations, peripherals, and associated cabling.

• Title: Desktop Support Technician
• Location: Des Moines, Iowa (Onsite)
• Pay: $21/hr

• Professionally disconnect computer equipment and accessories at the current location, preparing devices for safe transport.
• Reconnect and reassemble user workstations at the new location, including:
  • Mounting or positioning monitors on mounts at standing desks.
  • Connecting peripherals such as keyboards, mice, webcams, and headsets.
  • Ensuring all power and network cables are properly connected and secured.
• Perform basic troubleshooting for power, display, or connectivity issues as needed.
• Verify network connectivity and ensure systems are operational post‑move.
• Collaborate directly with end users to ensure workstation arrangements are functional and ergonomically acceptable.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service throughout all interactions.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 30 lbs, standing or crouching for extended periods, and navigating large office environments.
• Formal training and intermediate understanding of IT hardware, computer and phone usage, cabling, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Comfortable using basic hand tools for monitor mounting or cable adjustments.
