Position OverviewSenior Manager/Director of Claims – Casualty/Worker’s Compensation. The role leads and manages casualty and workers’ compensation claims operations, ensuring timely, fair, and cost‑effective resolution while driving strategic initiatives, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Day in the Life- Lead daily operations of the assigned claims division.
- Develop and implement claims strategies aligned with company goals and best practices.
- Foster a high‑performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Serve as key advisor to senior leadership on claims trends, risks, regulatory issues, and opportunities.
- Supervise and mentor claims managers, representatives, and support staff.
- Establish performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations to ensure service excellence.
- Provide guidance on complex, high‑exposure claims and litigation matters.
- Ensure claims comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Oversee resolution of escalated claims and manage complex litigation and settlement processes.
- Direct and supervise litigation, departmental complaints, and regulatory inquiries.
- Monitor regulatory changes and industry developments to maintain compliance and competitiveness.
- Maintain legal, statistical, and operational reports for stakeholders.
- Accountable for cost control, workforce planning, results, and personnel of the claims division.
- Act as the company liaison with E&O carriers and reinsurance partners.
- Partner with finance and actuarial teams to analyze claims data and trends.
- Recommend enhancements to claims processes, systems, and service models.
- Identify and implement technology solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree, industry certifications, or JD preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive P&C claims experience, with at least 10 years in a leadership role with direct personnel oversight.
- Specialized experience in casualty/worker’s compensation claims essential.
- Extensive knowledge of claims management, insurance regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proven leadership experience inspiring and developing high‑performing teams.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external relationships.
- Ability to navigate complex situations and provide constructive feedback.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and organizational discipline.
- Valid driver’s license required.

Salary range: $119,000 – $170,000, based on experience. This position is not eligible for tips or commission but may include additional bonuses.
