Job Description:

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their leading renewable energy organization. They will be responsible for managing all aspects of solar and storage projects, including planning, budgeting, procurement, controls, scheduling, risk management, and commissioning. The Senior Project Manager provides leadership and technical guidance to project teams and collaborates with engineering, financial, and executive teams.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing the full project lifecycle: planning, budgeting, procurement, scheduling, risk management, and commissioning.

Leading and guiding project teams, including Construction and Electrical Managers.

Supporting business development and cross-functional collaboration.

Overseeing preconstruction, permitting, utility interconnection, procurement, and labor coordination.

Ensuring project safety, quality, and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Managing project finances, documentation, change orders, and stakeholder communication.

Mentoring team members and proactively managing risks and conflicts.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
7+ years of construction management experience, including 3+ years in utility-scale solar or energy storage.
Strong understanding of project management principles, contract law, and project accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., Procore).
Experience managing complex project schedules.
Willingness to travel up to 50%, including multi-day trips to remote locations.

Preferred

Skills:

Master’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Management.
PMP certification.
