Manager, Suitability
Join Sammons Financial Group Companies as a Manager, Suitability. This role focuses on leading, coaching, and developing the Suitability team to deliver efficient, compliant, and high-quality service to our customers while meeting KPIs, SLAs, and business objectives.
What You'll Do- Lead and develop team and individual KPIs, SLAs and goals that align with departmental, divisional and company objectives.
- Attract and retain top talent by providing opportunities for skill development.
- Partner with team members to focus on performance and provide coaching and feedback.
- Review and analyze systems, processes and data to improve workflow and increase efficiency.
- Stay current on industry trends and competitiveness.
- Support department-level training, documentation and work standards.
- Lead and manage customer service issues and process improvements.
- Manage the department budget and reduce costs where possible.
- Foster internal and external relationships to achieve business goals.
- Lead and engage employees across multiple sites, including remote.
- Support operational, financial and internal controls processes.
- Create a working environment that embraces company values and culture.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (preferred).
- Insurance industry experience (preferred).
- Prior management of KPIs, SLAs, planning and workforce data (preferred).
- Bias to action, urgency, problem solving and strategic thinking.
- Effective leadership, coaching, motivation and decision-making skills.
- Strong focus on customer service.
- Proven ability to manage multi-faceted business needs and processes.
- Experience leading a dispersed workforce across multiple locations.
- Exceptional verbal, written and visual communication skills.
- High emotional intelligence.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently under deadline pressures.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to balance cost and benefit considerations.
- Series‑6 and Series‑26 (or Series‑7 and Series‑24) required.
- FINRA SIE preferred.
- Travel up to 25% may be required.
- Criminal background check required.
- FINRA fingerprinting required; credit check if holding securities licenses.
