1st Shift Mechanical Manufacturing Technician I – Onsite
Collins Aerospace is seeking an entry‑level Mechanical Manufacturing Technician for its Engine Components (TFT) facility in West Des Moines, IA. The role involves learning and performing calibration and assembly tasks under direct supervision of a certified calibrator. The position requires a U.S. Person and may involve overtime and non‑standard hours.

- Schedule:
Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (may include overtime and holiday hours)
- Set up and operate test stands for nozzles, spray bars, and valves to verify spray quality, angle, and flow.
- Operate laser markers and printers according to procedures.
- Record spray parameters and certify product conformance through testing and serial‑number accounting.
- Assist in disassembly, repair, and assembly of components as needed.
- Complete production documentation and manage labor transitions.
- Support and follow all EHS, Quality, and CI rules, guidelines, and standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement and safety activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including extended shifts / overtime.
- Exercise willingness to work nonstandard hours and holiday shifts.
- Hands‑on experience in calibration, testing, and assembly processes.
- Understanding of production documentation and quality standards.

- U.S. Person status (per applicable legal definition).
- Manufacturing or assembly experience.
- Manual dexterity for precise tasks.
