LPN, Licensed Practical Nurse

Overview

Edencrest is hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). In this role you will provide leadership and nursing support to the community and Executive Director as part of the Community Leadership team, upholding the Community’s mission, philosophy, values and the Company’s vision and Hospitality Promises.

Monday–Friday, rotating weekends and on-call rotation.

Waukee, IA;
Ankeny, IA;
Johnston, IA.

The starting pay for this position is $75,000 per year. Pay rate will be based on years of experience.

• Support the Director of Wellness with daily tasks and resident care documentation
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and Iowa licensure scope
• Monitor and ensure compliance through PCC Dashboard
• Assist with resident assessments and reviews
• Provide on-call nursing support as needed
• Train, guide, and delegate nursing tasks to direct care staff
• Utilize medical equipment appropriately (e.g., catheters, oxygen)
• Collect and transport lab samples
• Lead or assist with staff in-services and clinical education sessions
• Communicate effectively with families and physicians
• Monitor vital signs and detect health changes
• Promote a safe, comfortable environment for residents
• Support residents with activities of daily living
• Demonstrate strong customer service and team collaboration
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Valid Iowa LPN license
• Current CPR certification
• Completion of annual Iowa state requirements
• Professional, compassionate, and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and manage emotional situations with care
• Interest in elder care and strong interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
