Goodwill of Central Iowa is looking for a Full-Time Store Clerk to accept, sort, and merchandise donated goods, operate the cash register, and deliver outstanding customer service while upholding our values of love, kindness, and respect. Store Clerks are the first point of contact for customers and help keep the store organized and welcoming.

• Greet, assist, and engage with customers in a helpful and courteous manner.
• Receive donations from the public and sort them for merchandise.
• Stack and organize sorted merchandise, ensuring quality meets store standards.
• Work with supervisors to arrange and rotate items on the sales floor.
• Practice safe cash handling and operate the cash register, including balancing at scheduled times.
• Perform general cleaning tasks: sweeping, scrubbing, dusting, and mopping.
• Use a dolly, wheeled cart, pallet jack, and possibly a riding or walk-behind forklift.
• Meet daily production goals.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

• Excellent customer service skills.
• A high school diploma, current attendance at high school or GED classes, or a minimum of four years of related full‑time paid employment.
• Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
• Ability to carry, lift, push or pull up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to tolerate variations in work environment temperature.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Minimum age of 16 years.
• Effective basic math and communication skills.
• Must pass a criminal background check and a dependent adult and child abuse background check.
• Flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends to support business needs.

• Competitive starting wage of $15.00/hour.
• Weekend shift premium: additional $1.00/hour on Saturday and Sunday shifts.

• Schedule:
  
  Monday‑Saturday 8 am‑10 pm and Sunday 11 am‑6 pm (no retail holiday season).
