Hy‑Vee, Inc. invites you to join our Coffee Shop team as a Barista. This non‑exempt position serves customers, prepares beverages, and maintains a safe, clean environment while reflecting Hy‑Vee’s commitment to friendly service.

• Provide prompt, courteous customer service and take orders at the counter.
• Make and serve coffee, espresso, and other beverages efficiently.
• Assist customers in locating products, loading or unloading items, and addressing requests.
• Handle food safely, keep the work area clean, and ensure product freshness.
• Prepare and replenish inventory, check product status, and manage the register.
• Wash dishes, order supplies, price items, and perform other store duties as needed.
• Adhere to hygiene, dress, and safety guidelines and follow Hy‑Vee policies.
• Report to the District Store Director or Store Manager and perform duties on schedule.

• Less than high school or equivalent experience and six months of related work experience.
• Basic math skills, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and accurate counting.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive motions, and work in a store environment.
• Good visual acuity and color vision.

Work is conducted in a store setting, with exposure to noise, chemicals, and temperature extremes. Tasks include moving, bending, and using specialty equipment such as a dishwasher, register, and ice machines.
