Underground Utility Locator

Salary: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour.

We are recruiting Underground Utility Locators in your area for a rewarding career.

• Drive a company vehicle from home to job sites in response to routine ticket requests, emergencies, and relocations.
• Utilize mapping tools and locating equipment to find underground utilities including electric, gas, telephone, and other communication lines.
• Mark utility locations with paint, flags, and communicate relevant information to excavation personnel or authorities.
• Respond to after‑hours emergency call‑outs according to the established rotation schedule.

• Computer skills
• Valid driver’s license in the applicable state of employment.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Subject to Vannguard's drug‑free workplace program and pre‑employment drug screening.
• Self‑management and timely communication with supervisors and clients.

• Drive 50 to 300+ miles daily as required by the assigned geographic area.
• Get in and out of a vehicle 50+ times a day.
• Stand and walk lengthy distances over uneven terrain in all weather conditions.
• Sit for long periods while driving.
• Lift and/or move 50–150 pounds.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Driver’s license (Required)

This position is outdoors and involves minimal contact and interaction with others.

• 10‑hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On‑call
• Overtime

• Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
• Utility locating: 1 year (Preferred)
