We are currently recruiting a qualified Deputy SENCO to join a specialist SEMH school in West Drayton from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated teacher to support the SENCO in leading provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities within a specialist setting. You'll work closely with senior leaders, teachers, support staff, and external agencies to ensure every pupil receives the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

• Supporting the SENCO in the day-to-day management of SEND provision across the school
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure pupils' individual needs are effectively met
• Contributing to the development, implementation, and review of EHCPs and support plans
• Monitoring pupil progress and supporting high-quality, inclusive teaching practices
• Liaising with parents, carers, and external professionals to coordinate appropriate support
• Supporting staff with strategies to promote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
• Helping to ensure the school meets its statutory responsibilities in relation to SEND

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND, ideally within an SEMH or specialist school setting
• A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive education
• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, families, and external agencies
• A calm, resilient, and proactive approach with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people with additional needs

Training and ongoing support will be provided, with opportunities for continued professional development.

Pay includes 12.07% holiday pay.
