Air Import Clerk

Right Now Group are recruiting for an experienced Air Import Clerk to join a leading freight forwarder based at Heathrow (LHR
- Polar Park).

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Air Import professional to join a growing operation that is bringing its import function fully in-house. The successful candidate will take ownership of the import process whilst also supporting the development and training of colleagues within the team.

• Manage and complete import files to the required company standards.
• Monitor and action import-related emails in a timely manner.
• Complete import customs entries and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare import quotations and take bookings directly with customers.
• Produce collection and delivery notes.
• Liaise with customers, warehouses and customs officials to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage ERTS (Enhanced Remote Transit Shed) processes.
• Check, calculate and accurately charge storage costs.
• Oversee charging and costing of import jobs.
• Provide guidance and training to colleagues on Air Import processes and procedures.

• Minimum 2-3 years' Air Import experience is essential.
• Ability to manage quotations, bookings and the full import process independently.
• Strong knowledge of Air Import operations and customs procedures.
• Knowledge of Sequoia and NCTS systems would be advantageous.
• Break-bulk experience would be advantageous.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure.
• Proactive and self-motivated approach.
• Previous experience mentoring, training or developing colleagues would be advantageous.

• Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
• Location: Heathrow (LHR
  - Polar Park).
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30.
