Universal Worker/CNA - Part-Time Day AM Shift (Every Monday - Wednesday 7a-10a)

Eventide Sheyenne Crossings Senior Living is hiring Part‑Time Day Universal Workers to work the Day shift from 7a to 10a (Every Monday‑Wednesday) with a holiday rotation.

• Part‑time workers receive a 7% differential. Evening and overnight shift differentials are also available.
• High‑quality, safe personal care assistance to senior living tenants, in line with federal, state, local standards, guidelines, and Eventide’s policies and procedures.
• Additional duties include housekeeping, laundry, and planning and life enrichment activities as needed.

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant on the ND Nurse Assistant Registry.
• Must have a current ND MAI Certification or be able to obtain it upon hire.
• Must complete Eventide’s Home Health Aide (HHA) competency training and pass the test administered by Eventide.
• Must currently be in good standing on all nursing assistant registries in which you have been placed in the U.S.
• Current CPR/BLS (or its approved equivalency) required.

• Assist tenants with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist tenants with ambulation and/or therapeutic exercises.
• Observe and/or assist with medications that may have been ordinarily self‑administered; may give oral and trans‑dermal medications, patches, eye drops, topical ointments, and suppositories under the direction of the nurse.
• Read and record temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and weight.
• Provide adequate nutrition and fluid intake through meal preparation.
• Perform blood sugar testing and document results.
• Provide tenants with emotional and cognitive support.
• Socialize with tenants, listen, converse, and participate in appropriate activities – reading mail, writing letters, etc.
• Give guidance, redirection, and re‑orientation to tenants as needed.
• Develop rapport with tenants and families to understand their needs and interests.
• Document in tenant records as instructed and in a timely manner.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and review of the tenant’s plan of care.
• Recognize and report significant changes in the tenant’s health, behavior, and/or general appearance to the nurse.
• Comply with infection control policies and procedures.
• Recognize emergencies and carry out emergency procedures according to policy.
• Report any occurrences of physical or mental abuse or potential for vulnerable adult reports to supervisor promptly.
• Review communication notes at the start of each shift to stay informed of changes that may have occurred.
• Clean apartments, service areas, and common areas.
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold personal clothing and linens.
• Re‑stock supplies as needed.
• Assist with serving meals in the dining room.
• Perform pet care per policy.

Shift premiums and differentials are also available for select positions and are paid based on employment status and shift worked.
