Position: Universal Worker/CNA -Part-Time Evening PM Shift (Every Wednesday and Every other weekend)

Eventide Sheyenne Crossings Senior Living is hiring for Part‑Time Day Universal Workers to work the Evening PM shift from 4:00 P to 9:00 P (Every Wednesday and Every other weekend a total of 25 hours per pay period), with a holiday rotation.

Part‑time workers receive a 7% differential. Evening and overnight shift differentials as well!

The Universal worker will provide high‑quality and safe personal care assistance to senior living tenants that is consistent with the current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations as well as the philosophy, policies, and procedures of Eventide. The worker will also perform housekeeping, laundry, and planning and life enrichment activities as needed.

Certificates, Licenses or Registrations
  • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant on the ND Nurse Assistant Registry.
  • Must have a current ND MAI Certification or be able to obtain upon hire.
  • Must be trained and pass Eventide's Home Health Aide (HHA) competency training and test administered by Eventide.
  • Must currently be in good standing on all nursing assistant registries in which you have been placed in the U.S.
  • Current CPR/BLS (or its approved equivalency) required.
Essential Functions
  • Assists tenants with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assists tenants with ambulation and/or therapeutic exercises.
  • Observes and/or assists with medications that may have been ordinarily self‑administered. May give oral and trans‑dermal medications, patches, eye drops, topical ointments, and suppositories under the direction of the nurse.
  • Reads and records temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and weight.
  • Provides adequate nutrition and fluid intake through meal preparation.
  • Performs blood sugar testing and documents results.
  • Provides tenants with emotional and cognitive support.
  • Socializes with tenants. Listens, converses, and participates in appropriate activities – reading mail, writing letters, etc.
  • Gives guidance, redirection, and re‑orientation to tenants as needed.
  • Develops a rapport with tenants and families to develop an understanding of the needs and interests.
  • Documents in tenant records as instructed and in a timely manner.
  • Participates in the development, implementation and review of tenant's plan of care.
  • Recognizes and reports significant changes in the tenant's health, behavior and/or general appearance to the nurse.
  • Complies with infection control policies and procedures.
  • Recognizes emergencies and carries out emergency procedures according to policy.
  • Promptly reports any occurrences of physical or mental abuse or potential for vulnerable adult reports to supervisor.
  • Reviews communication notes at the start of each shift to stay informed of changes that may have occurred.
  • Cleans apartments, service areas, and common areas.
  • Sorts, washes, dries, and folds personal clothing and linens.
  • Re‑stocks supplies as needed.
  • Assists with serving meals in dining room.
  • Performs pet care per policy.
Compensation

At Eventide, we value our employees and offer a competitive pay range of $18–$19.62 for Universal Worker/CNA per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
