As a Cook Supervisor, you will coordinate the daily operations of the dietary department. Your leadership will ensure patients and residents receive delicious and nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements in an environment of kindness, service, compassion, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and lead dietary staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Oversee meal planning, preparation, and service, ensuring compliance with dietary restrictions
- Collaborate with the dietician to develop and implement nutrition care plans
- Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage budgets effectively
- Ensure compliance with local, state & federal food safety and sanitation regulations
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to dietary services

- Previous healthcare experience in a dietary or food service role
- Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and dietary therapies
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
- Compassionate and empathetic nature, including experience working with customers or patient families
- Strong organizational and decision‑making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Interest in the nutrition and healthcare needs of the aged and the chronically ill, with the ability to work with both
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment
- Dedication to upholding high standards of quality and service
- Ability to follow instructions for the safe use, cleaning, and care of dietary equipment, preparation, and service areas
