The Facilities Supervisor oversees maintenance, safety, and functionality of our buildings, equipment, and grounds. This critical role ensures that our operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently every day
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily maintenance and repair activities for facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc.).
- Schedule, coordinate, and oversee internal staff and external contractors to complete repairs, renovations, and preventative maintenance.
- Monitor building systems and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and swift resolution of issues.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards, maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, work orders, and inventory.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
- Manage facilities budget, track expenditures, and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Respond to facilities-related emergencies and incidents as needed.
- Collaborate with production, EHS, and other departments to support operational goals and projects.
- Train, mentor, and oversee facilities staff, ensuring adherence to company standards and policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. - 3+ years’ experience in facilities maintenance/management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) a plus.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
