Coordinate Measuring Machine Programmer

Insight Global is seeking a CMM Programmer to join a manufacturing company based in West Hartford, CT. The CMM Programmer will be involved with developing, optimizing, and supporting CMM programs, focusing on inspection, documentation, and software control. In this role, the individual will be responsible for manual layouts, integration with automation, and operational inspection for milling and turning. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:

• Utilization of MCOSMOS and PC‑DIMIS software
• Write programs to eliminate need for elaborate set‑ups for operator usability
• Reduce usage of functional gaging through increased programming
• Train personnel in use of CMM machines, programs and inspection methods
• Review ECO’s to ensure inspection methods in use correlate to latest op sheet requirements
• Develop inspection methods, acceptance criteria, and create inspection plans to assure quality requirements are met
• Review inspection results and determine suitability of material for use
• Issue and maintain corrective action responses, internal or external, and follow‑up to assure effectiveness
• Support Production in areas such as: test support, quality investigations and supplier issues
• Investigate technological enhancements to promote improvements
• Streamline and improve quality systems and procedures and focus on developing the “Quality System”

Up to 125K

• MCOSMOS and PC‑DIMIS experience
• Four years of college (technical preferred)
• Minimum three‑year job‑related work experience and technical training on CMM Programming considered in lieu of education
• Strong background in Quality Systems ISO requirements, Blueprint reading IAW ANSI Y14.5
• GD&T, SPC, Metrology, Auditing and Supplier Management
