Job Responsibilities
  • Live our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
  • Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, creating heartfelt moments while serving patients, offering immunizations and other services, and demonstrating compassionate care by solving or escalating patient problems.
  • Complete basic inventory activities such as accurately putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, waiting‑bin inventories, etc., as permitted by law.
  • Contribute to a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, be receptive to feedback, and seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge.
  • Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, while contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic; voluntarily travel to stores in the market to work shifts as needed.
  • Understand and comply with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles; comply with CVS policies and procedures to ensure patient safety, controlled‑substance dispensing and recordkeeping, and protect patient privacy and security.
  • Deliver additional patient health‑care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and voluntary staffing at off‑site clinics) where allowable by law and supported by required training and certification.
  • When permitted, support immunizations by completing additional licensure and training requirements, educating patients about vaccine importance, monitoring for adverse reactions, reporting adverse reactions, reviewing patient information, and managing vaccine supplies.
Required Qualifications
  • Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, licensure/certification.
  • If the state board does not specify a minimum age, you must be at least 16 years old.
  • If the state board does not specify a minimum educational requirement, you must have a high‑school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high‑school or equivalency program.
  • State‑level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.
Essential Functions
  • Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
  • Attention and focus: concentrate on a task over time, pivot quickly from one task to another, and confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.
